Biography
Bamir Topi was born in 1957, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine in veterinary studies from the Agricultural University of Tirana. He held several political positions before becoming president in 2007. 

Bamir Topi is a strong supporter of an independent Kosovo, he voiced his opinion on the subject at several regional meetings and has visited the new country in 2009.
