Biography

Zillur Rahman was born in Bhairab, Bangladesh in 1929. His education includes a law degree and a master's degree in history both from Dhaka University. He has been involved with the Bangladesh Awami League as a candidate since 1970. His wife was killed by terrorists in 2004. After a long career, he became the President of Bangladesh in 2009, when no other candidate opposed him he won by default.
