Brazil has the 10th largest economy in the world, this is in part due to economic reforms and large deposits of natural resources. Brazil has been able to go through the global recession without any permanent damage. An election is coming up to replace the current president, hopefully this doesn't bring much change and Brazil can continue growing at a steady rate.
