Christian Wulff was born in Osnabruck, Germany, in 1959. He is the current President of Germany. He obtained a law degree from the university of Osnabruck. He has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union since 1975, when he joined as a teen. In 2003 he became the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony. He held this post until he was elected as the new President of Germany in June 2010. He resigned in February 2012 following a corruption scandal.

Eventually she rose to become the leader of her political party the Christian Democratic Union. Her coalition was able to form the government following the 2005 elections. She formed a second government following the 2009 elections.
