Greece is bordered by Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Greece is a well-developed country, with a high GDP per capita. A large portion of Greece's GDP comes from tourism, with around 19 million tourists per year. Greece is currently in the midst of a major sovereign debt crisis, that is having international consequences as confidence surrounding a global recovery from the recent recession is being shook. Greece faces negative growth for several years to come, until the government gets the budget under control.
