Current Situation
Indonesia is located in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is bordered by East Timor, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea. Indonesia's economy has a high growth rate, however poverty is a major problem in Indonesia. Corruption is also an issue that is impeding Indonesia's recovery and growth following the East Asian financial crisis in the late 1990s. Indonesia has also weathered the current global recession relatively well.
