Biography
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was born in Aradan, Iran, in 1956. He is the current President of Iran. He studied Civil Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology, he also holds a PhD from the same school. He was for a time a provincial governor and was later Mayor of Tehran. He ran in the 2005 presidential elections and won, he was re-elected in 2009 although there were large protest against the latest elections. He is a vocal critic of the United States and Israel, where he does not recognize Israel's right to exist.
