Israel is bordered by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria. Israel's economy is very advanced it is agriculturally self-sufficient, it's industrial sector is very strong, with many high-tech companies and many large multinationals have plants in Israel. Israel is one of the richest countries in the Middle East in terms of GDP per capita. Israel is currently involved in a conflict in the Gaza Strip section of Palestine. As of July 2010 the conflict in Gaza as ended however tensions remain with Palestine, and with some of the region's countries.
