Current Situation
Kosovo is located in the Balkans. Kosovo is bordered by Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. Kosovo's economy is under-developed. Because Kosovo is not internationally recognized it is finding it difficult to get foreign investment and loans. However, several projects in the mining and energy sectors are being developed. Also Kosovo has secured economic aid from the EU and the United States valued at around 3.2 billion US dollars.
