Biography
Fatmir Sejdiu was born in Pakastica, Kosovo, in 1951. He is the current President of Kosovo. He studied law at the University of Pristina, where he also earned a PhD. Before joining politics and during his career as a parliamentarian he was a lecturer at the University of Pristina. He first became president in 2006, when the previous president Ibrahim Rugova died of lung cancer. He was re-elected in 2008.
