Biography
Valdis Dombrovskis was born in Riga, Latvia, in 1971. He is the current Prime Minister of Latvia. He obtained Bachelor's degrees from the Universities of Latvia and Riga Technical University, he also earned a Master's degree. Before becoming prime minister he served as finance minister and was a member of the European Parliament. In March 2009 he formed a new governing coalition, following the resignation of the previous government.
