Valdis Zatlers was born in Riga, Latvia, in 1955. He is the current and 7th President of Latvia. He studied medicine at the University of Latvia. Before joining politics he was a prominent doctor in Latvia. He was elected president in the 2007 presidential elections.

Biography:
Valdis Dombrovskis was born in Riga, Latvia, in 1971. He is the current Prime Minister of Latvia. He obtained Bachelor's degrees from the Universities of Latvia and Riga Technical University, he also earned a Master's degree. Before becoming prime minister he served as finance minister and was a member of the European Parliament. In March 2009 he formed a new governing coalition, following the resignation of the previous government.
