Biography:
Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz was born in Akjoujt, Mauritania, in 1956. He is the current President of Mauritania. He studied at the Royal Military Academy of Morocco, which led to a successful career in the Mauritanian Military. He led a coup in 2005, and again led another coup in 2008. He ran in the 2009 presidential elections and won, he became president on August 5th 2009.
