Pakistan is located in South Asia. It is bordered by Afghanistan, China, India and Iran. Pakistan's economy has been growing over the last half-century coming from a very poor economy to a rapidly developing country. Pakistan has a potential for a large tourism industry, however the security situation remains tense, with ethnic-conflicts raging in certain regions and spill-overs from the War in Afghanistan. Pakistan has also been recently hit by devastating floods and the damage has yet to be assessed completely.
