Biography
Vladimir Putin was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1952. He is the current Prime Minister of Russia. He studied at the Saint Petersburg State University in law. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was the President of Russia. He became President in 1999, and was re-elected twice in 2000 and in 2004. Although he is widely criticized for human rights violations, he did bring economic prosperity and stability to Russia during his time as President.
