Biography
Paul Kagame was born in Ruhango, Rwanda, in 1957. He is the current President of Rwanda. Before becoming the President of Rwanda he was the leader of the RPF or Rwandan Patriotic Front, the group who fought on behalf of the Tutsi's during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide and eventually stopped the slaughter and took power. Paul Kagame started his military career as a child soldier. He became President of Rwanda for the first time in 2000, he was re-elected in 2003, and in 2010. However, he has won all the elections by over 90% of the votes and in the last election the opposition parties were banned from participating.
