Biography

Ralph Gonsalves was born in Colonaire, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in 1946. He is the current Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the West Indies, also a Master's degree in Government and a PhD all from the University of the West Indies. He also has a law degree. Gonsalves and his Unity Labour Party won the 2001 general elections and were re-elected successfully during the 2005 elections.
