Biography

King Abdullah was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 1924. He is the current King of Saudi Arabia. Abdullah became Crown Prince back in 1982, when King Fahd came to the throne of Saudi Arabia. Abdullah became regent in 1996 when King Fahd fell ill and was unable to govern, Abdullah's role as regent lasted until 2005 when King Fahd died. Abdullah immediately succeeded him and became the new King of Saudi Arabia.
