Serbia is bordered by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Romania. Serbia's economy suffered after the breakdown of Yugoslavia, first by the disintegration of the interior market with other ex-Yugoslav republics, and by sanctions imposed during the Kosovo War. However, since about 2000 the economy has been growing at a strong and steady pace, and promises to continue this trend. Agriculture is a very important sector, with frozen fruits and raspberries being important products.
