Biography
Danilo Turk was born in Maribor, Slovenia, in 1952. He is the current President of Slovenia. He studied at the University of Ljubljana, where he eventually obtained a PhD in law. He served in several high ranking positions inside the United Nations. He ran in the 2007 Slovenian presidential elections and won.
