Biography
Mahinda Rajapaksa was born in Madamulana, Sri Lanka, in 1945. He is the current President of Sri Lanka. He first became a member of parliament in Sri Lanka in 1970. Before becoming president he served as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka from 2004 to 2005. He ran in the 2005 Sri Lankan presidential elections and won, he was re-elected in 2010.
