Biography:
Jose Mujica was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1935. He is the current President of Uruguay. He was involved in armed political movements from the 1960's, he was arrested for this and eventually released in 1985. He was first elected in 1994 as a deputy, then he was elected again in 1999 as a senator. In 2005 he became the Minister of Agriculture. In 2010 he successfully ran in the presidential elections.
